Family Fun in the Cotswolds

Get ready for an action-packed day designed with families in mind! Our Family Fun in the Cotswolds Tour is all about keeping kids of every age entertained — from curious five-year-olds to adventurous teens — while giving parents a chance to relax and enjoy the beauty of the English countryside. This is a day of hands-on exploring, with plenty of chances to get out of the vehicle, stretch your legs, and discover new things together.

You could start your morning with a climb to the top of Broadway Tower, where kids love the winding stairs and the views. Wander the village of Broadway, with its cafés, parks, and traditional sweet shops for a proper English treat. We may also pause at the ancient Rollright Stones, where children can imagine kings and knights while seeing one of the region’s most interesting landmarks.

The day can include paddling in the shallow streams of the Slaughters, discovering Tolkien’s inspiration door in Stow-on-the-Wold, or stepping into the medieval history and gardens of a real castle such as Sudeley Castle. Along the way, farm shops tempt you with local foods to try, and there’s always time for a cream tea or English pub meal to refuel.

The afternoon could bring animals and adventure. At Cotswold Wildlife Park, kids can spot rhinos, lions, and giraffes up close, or head to Cotswold Farm Park, where the kids will love feeding goats, meeting lambs, and learning about rare English farm breeds. Animals are part of the Cotswolds itself, so you’ll see plenty in the fields and villages along the way.

The tour is always tailored to your family’s interests — whether exploring film locations from Harry Potter or Narnia, chasing wide-open countryside views, or spending more time with castles and animals. Whatever you choose, this day is designed for fun, laughter, and memories — plus happily tired kids by the time you head home.

The tour can be adapted for families with children of different ages, from younger children who need plenty of activity and shorter stops to teenagers with more specific interests. We plan the day around your particular family rather than assuming that every child enjoys the same things.
