Despite worldwide popularity, The Cotswolds are still full of nooks, crannies and secret escapes that only genuine locals know about. We know this area better than anybody and of course, we keep our secrets to ourselves but here are a few hints to wet your appetite; and remember these are nothing compared to what we can show you when you join us in the Cotswolds for an off the beaten track experience.
As you stroll down Broadway High street maybe you’d like to see ‘Kennel Lane’ and meet the fox hounds kept of the back of the high street, or perhaps you’d like to walk across our family farm and see how the traditions of English farming continue in the 21st Century, and how we preserve our land for the next generations. Maybe you would like to see Medieval wall paintings in an ancient church hidden away or find out where Jane Austen visited her Uncle. Visit the house where Lewis Carroll created his idea of Alice in Wonderland and the wacky tree trunk that inspired J.R.R Tolkien. Take lunch in a historic country pub or gather some items from a local deli and we can stop for a picnic in the fields.
As true locals whose family history dates back centuries in the area, we have a few stories to tell and can link our family heritage to local history and this is what makes your time with us very unique. The day will be focused on your interests and we will take you off the beaten track away from the tourist gatherings and showcase the secret spots in the Cotswolds.
