Fields, Farms & Tea

Step into the heart of the English countryside with Fields, Farms & Tea — a full-day Cotswolds experience designed to connect you with the land, the people who work it, and the traditions that have shaped rural life for generations. This isn’t your average sightseeing tour — it’s a thoughtfully curated day that blends hidden beauty, real working farms, charming village walks, and a hands-on taste of English baking inside a local cottage.

Your adventure begins high on a hilltop at a private, family-run farm not open to the public. You’ll be welcomed into a bespoke hospitality barn with a steaming barista-made coffee or specialty tea, and a selection of homemade cakes or cookies. As you settle in, your hosts — a passionate farming family — will introduce the story of their award-winning regenerative farm, known for its conservation efforts and ethical cattle rearing.

Then it’s time to hop aboard a specially equipped off-road vehicle for a 90-minute farm safari across stunning pastures, wildflower meadows, and wildlife corridors. Along the way, you’ll learn about regenerative agriculture, biodiversity, and carbon-neutral farming, while meeting a herd of rare-breed, pasture-raised cattle. Your guide will help you spot native plant and animal species, sharing both ecological knowledge and personal stories that bring the landscape to life. It’s insightful, refreshing, and a world away from the crowds.

Next, we take a gentle village-to-village walk through some of the Cotswolds’ most iconic scenery — from the tranquil beauty of Upper Slaughter to the postcard-perfect charm of Lower Slaughter. It’s a peaceful interlude through quiet lanes, historic cottages, and bubbling brooks.

In the afternoon, you’ll be welcomed into the warm kitchen of a local Cotswolds home for a truly delightful cottage tea experience. Led by your host — a friendly and talented baker — this hands-on session invites you to make beloved English treats such as buttery scones, jam-filled Jammy Dodgers, and nostalgic gingerbread men. Learn the secrets to perfect baking, take part in light-hearted competitions, and enjoy plenty of laughs as you create and taste your handmade delights in the cozy farmhouse kitchen or blooming garden (weather permitting).

Whether you’re a couple seeking a meaningful countryside escape, a family looking for interactive fun, or a traveler eager to experience rural England beyond the guidebooks — Fields, Farms & Tea is a day of connection, learning, and delight. It’s a rare chance to step into real Cotswold life, guided by locals who live and love the land.

This company is awesome, they are revitalising what can be done in the countryside and are bringing locals with stories to tell closer to mainstream tourism. We met local farmers, a bee-keeper, we learnt to stonewall, read unseen letters from Elizabeth I at a private castle and even had tea with the owner and gardener of a private Cotswold manor. Our 5 days in the Cotswolds was truly like no...
