We knew we wanted to do private touring of the Cotswolds, so we asked Eddie to help us design 3 days of “out of the ordinary” touring. And did he ever! David picked us up at our hotel in London, then travelled to Oxford, then Blenheim Palace, then indirectly to Stow-on-the-Wold. Wonderfully informative. Day two we did on our own — walking through fields to Bourton-on-the-Water. Day three was our favorite of our entire month in Europe. Robin Dale picked us up and we spent several hours at a sheep herding experience. The most amazing experience you could imagine. SO FASCINATING! The rest of the day was literally wandering around beautiful villages with Robin, visiting a woolen mill, ending up at his farm where we learned even more about local farming practices. Day four was with Colin, who would ultimately take us to Bath at the end of the day. We saw Lacock, Castle Combe, the Fovant Badges (wow!), sheep, cows, gorgeous leaves, fog, partridge, pheasants, red kites. Cotswold Tours & Travel are the most accommodating and creative group I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. Eddie listened to us (via e-mail), then our drivers offered their own suggestions, but made it very clear it was OUR day. We would not have changed a thing. We learned SO much from people who have lived in the Cotswolds for many years. It was the most personal travel experience we’ve ever had. We would definitely encourage anyone to contact Cotswolds Tours & Travel for a premier experience.
